Waterfalls
| Ranong is blessed
with many beautiful waterfalls which you can find
all along the Petchkasem highway and by exploring
into the mountains. A few of the best ones are
mentioned here.
PUNYABAN
About 16 kilometres to the north of town is
Punyaban waterfall. A fast rushing fall with nice
cool shady areas to sit, relax and enjoy the
nature. |

There is a gentle trail through some of the
forest around the waterfall with a rest area which
gives a commanding view of the grass mountain.
There is also a guest house. |
NGAO
Situated about 12
kilomatres south of Ranong and opposite the grass mountain
is Ngao Waterfall National Park. The park
comprises the magnificent waterfall
cascading down from an enormous height,
which is visible for many miles around. |

BOKKRAI
About 50 kilometres north of Ranong and 10 kms off
of Petchkasem highway is Bokrai waterfall which
drops 13 levels. The surrounding deep forest has
many rare species of wild animal.. A short nature
trail runs through the forest.
