Ú   Bus You can get to Ranong via Chumphon (40B, 60B air-con), Surat Thani (70B, 90B air-con) Takua Pa (54B, 80B air-con) and Phuket (91B, 130B air-con). The bus terminal is on Highway 4 near the Tansom Thara Hotel, but buses stop in town on Th Ruangrat (passengers flag them anywhere on Th Ruangrat) before proceeding on to the terminal. Songthaew No 2 passes the terminal.

    To/from Bangkok, ordinary buses cost 160-180B ,2nd ciass air-con 260B.VIP(24) 515B. Air-con buses don't depart that frequently, usually twice in the morning and three or four times in the afternoon/evening. From Ranong,
