Possessive pronouns.

Pasa Thai does not have special words for possessive pronouns; like my (mine), your (yours), her (hers) and so on, in English. We simply put "khawng" which equals to "of" in English before the pronoun. So instead of saying "my book", Thai people say "the book of mine" or "nang sue (the book) khawng pom".

As well, this form is applied to all the phrases expressing ownership. For "Jack's friend" or "freind of Jack", Thai say "puen (friend) khawng Jack".
